Miniature Schnauzers
In the miniature schnauzers, I breed the different colors: I have the black, black/silver, salt /pepper, liver, liver party, salt/pepper party and black/white party. I also have the toy and miniature sizes. The miniature schnauzers are some exceptional dogs. They are very protective, alert, outgoing, friendly, playful and my favorite thing is THEY DO NOT SHED, which makes them somewhat hypo-allergenic. They are extremely good with children. They are somewhat high maintenance, due to the reason they need brushing and grooming.
The size difference with the toy and miniature is, that toys are usually 10 pounds and under. The normal size for the schnauzers run from 14 to 22 pounds. Smaller minis are the ones that weigh from 10 to 14 pounds. Most of my pups are of the smaller minis, ranging from 10 - 13 lbs. in size. Whichever size you choose they still remain hardy little fellows. Toy sizes are not always the best choice where children are concerned, because of their size. So parents beware, know your chidren before you purchase them a pup.
Whichever one you choose the miniature schnauzer will make an excellent companion.

Cleatus is a beautiful phantom black & silver. He is from the Hickory Hill line of champions. Cleatus is a "MOMMA'S BOY", he is now retired and being JUST that.
